The Dance of Butterflies

Created by bringing together glass, special stones and various recycled materials, this kinetic work tells of transformation, freedom and the colors of nature. While the large butterfly in the upper section forms a starting point at the center of the work, the colorful pieces and small butterflies extending downward symbolize movement in nature and the diversity of life.

Each piece of the work was shaped by giving new life to a different material, so that materials that might have been thrown away were transformed into a colorful and original work of art. The pieces, accompanying one another as they move, reflect that light and free feeling the wind creates in nature.

“The Dance of Butterflies” tells of the beauty of change and of how no piece is ever truly lost. Every transformation can be the beginning of a new beauty.
