Wild Horses (Yılkı)

Wild horses, carrying the freedom of the steppe and nature's own rhythm, are a symbol of a life that chooses its own path, far from human interference. This work was created with inspiration from the powerful and graceful spirit of the wild horses that roam freely across the Anatolian steppes.

Each piece brought together through the glass mosaic technique reflects the movement of the horses, the silence of the steppe and nature's sense of freedom. The surface of the glass, shifting with the light, accompanies the sometimes fierce, sometimes serene nature of these wild horses.

The horses moving forward together represent freedom, solidarity, strength and union with the nature they belong to. Unshaped by human hands and sustaining their own lives within the conditions of nature, these wild horses are treated here not merely as an animal figure but as a symbol of the free spirit and an untamed life.

“Wild Horses”, while making visible once more — through the light of the glass — a moment lost in the infinity of the steppe, invites the viewer to reflect on what freedom truly means.
